CBOE trading floor goes crazy when Vargas visits!!

Rick Ramos, a former amatuer fighter himself,  fighting out of the Old Neighborhood Italian American Club…. making him one of the first Latino’s to be accepted in the “members only club.” Ramos made his mark in 2004 starting a managing company, “Rick Ramos Boxing.” Working with the likes of: Jimmy Sandoval (15-3 12ko’s)…and also known for being part of the financial community. Rick, one of ONLY 4 Latino traders/brokers in the business, accidentally finds himself to be a “role model.”

The stock of Rick Ramos himself would rise when he convinced the Chicago Board of Options Exchange to let 2 time former World Champion Fernando Vargas and former World Champion David Diaz, to ring the “opening bell.” This becoming the FIRST and SECOND time celebrity athletes coming from a Latin background to do so!

Rick Ramos is VERY involved with boxing in his home town, assistant coaching at his old high school De La Salle (along with good friend and fighter Tony Maldonado). Rick currently has opened a boxing gym along with partner and Chicago Legendary Trainer Sam Colonna…..  “Chicago Boxing Club.”  If you’re in the city stop by and say “HELLO!”
